Harry A. Inman attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology and, after serving as a combat pilot in the Pacific, graduated from Harvard College and the University of Virginia Law School. He has practiced law in Washington, D.C., and private international law directly and in cooperation with foreign counsel. He practiced previously with Sutherland, Linowitz & Williams of Rochester, New York, and later represented the New York firm of Lord, Day & Lord for many years in Washington, D.C. He was an initial partner of Patton Boggs LLP in Washington, D.C. and upon leaving after 26 years formed Inman Deming LLP with Stuart H. Deming, which firm ended in 2003. He now has his own firm in Washington D.C. as a sub-tenant of Reed Smith LLP and coordinates on certain legal matters with that firm.

Mr. Inman has advised clients on matters in Japan, Philippines, United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Korea, South Africa, Nigeria, Somalia, Italy, United Kingdom, Belgium, Iceland, Samoa, Tonga and Tahiti. He is "of counsel" to Damon Key Leong Kupchak & Hastert in Honolulu, Hawaii, to serve clients in the Pacific Rim. He has been affiliated with law firms in Mexico City, Mexico, from 1962-2002 and has extensive legal experience serving clients not only in Mexico but also Latin America.

In addition to serving as a Trustee of The Procedural Aspects of International Law Institute, Mr. Inman has served as Chair of the American Bar Association's (ABA) International Law and Practice Section, Chair of the ABA's Standing Committee on World Order Under Law and a member of the ABA's House of Delegates. Since 1969 he has been a Council Member of the Inter-American Bar Association and is currently Secretary General. He has also been a member of the Pacific Basin Economic Council. He is a member of the New York and District of Columbia Bars, the American Law Institute and the Washington Institute of Foreign Affairs.
